Hot Liner is a flexible panel that is rigid enough to form a stovetop. It’s intended for the deserts of Africa where sunlight is aplenty. A couple of belts together can increase the intensity of heat for cooking and accommodate huge pots and pans.
A nice concept that I think can be developed and refined further, in any case it was showcased (and won the Golden Haechi) at the 2010 Seoul International Design Competition co-hosted by our good friends at Designboom.
